Can you choose which Immigration office to process your 90 day extension?

A friend of mine went to Kantang (Trang) for her first 90 day check-in yesterday. She was told the next time she does it she must go to Satun Immigration. Also people wishing to process their Non B visas for the one year extension must also only go there and nowhere else.

Is this correct?

I was under the impression any Immigration office must process your paperwork regardless of where you live. Phatthalung to Satun doesn't make sense when Hat Yai is far closer and easier to reach.

You must do your reports of staying longer than 90 days in the country (they are not extensions) at the office where your extension of stay was issued unless you formally change your address to a new one.

Long term extensions must be applied for at the designated office for where you are living.

You could be anywhere and do an online 90 day report. The application will be sent to your designated office for approval.

It is the same for mail in reports. You just have to use your registered address on the return envelope.

I am working in Phattalung. does it mean I have to extend my visa in Phattalung immigration office? Why can't I issue it in Songkhla?

You have to do the extension at the designated office for where you are living.

You will have to do the extension at the office in Satun since that is the designated office for Phattalung.

oo I see. Thanks a bunch ubonjoe.. finally I got the answer. But Satun is farer than Songkhla.. Now my problem is who wanna accompany me to Satun? lol Mamiiiiiii..
