"Why should I reply to your musing?"

Seriously? You don't understand how this works?

You are under no obligation to respond to my posts. If you want to post something unrelated to my posts you can start a new post.

Replying to my posts with comments unrelated to the post is the sort of thing a troll does as a distraction. I'm surprised that someone with over 20,000 posts doesn't know this.

"I'm defending the explanation sessions, not the ban on campaigning."

Do you really see nothing wrong with the junta "explaining" the draft constitution while banning other discussion? I assume you think that having junta generated propaganda is better than no information at all. Not everyone shares that view.

Also, the junta has gone beyond "explaining" the charter, they now admit they are actively promoting it:

"Chai Nat Governor Kanit Iamrahong has opened training for the promotion of the draft charter in the province with National Legislative Assembly member Lt Gen Chaiyuth Phromsuck and Constitution Drafting Committee member Theerachai Na Nakorn observing." http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/923196-teachers-across-thailand-trained-to-publicize-draft-charter/

"As for my 'undemocratic views' I guess you just disagree with my opinion."

Since you consistently defend the actions of a junta that staged an illegal coup against an elected government, suspended the constitution and all democratic institutions, suppresses basic human rights and is promoting a draft constitution while banning free discussion of the draft, I think my description of you as undemocratic is a reasonable one.

Why do you think I skipped over "Campaigning for or against"? You took the words from the quote I provided.

So why do you reply with such rubbish?

In other words, I nailed it so very well you have no place to go.

Should be a brief talk.

Sounds like one of those "shortest books ever written".

Like "A History of Thai PMs Who've Served Full Terms".

Cough.

Most people on internet discussion forums are very familiar with the "pyrrhic victory". Often, it seems the objective.

Regrettably, few are adherents to the "gracious defeat".

"To refute the distractions you throw around are not worth the time spent on it."

Translation: I can't think of a sensible answer to what you've said...

"But I guess that's one reason for your 'interesting' posts and replies."

Translation: If I call your posts 'interesting' in such a way as to imply they're crazy, then I'll be able to fool some slow-learners into thinking I could answer you but don't want to. Instead of can't.

A bit transparent Rubl... but hey, you know that already.

If you are going to reply to a post you should address the post itself. Otherwise you are just trolling.

I've made it easy for you; below is my post that you described as "rubbish". I've underlined the key points in the post. Why don't you explain why they are rubbish?

That's nice, uncommonly nice of you Heybruce. Threatening a fellow poster, calling him undemocratic because he has an opinion different from what you think he should have. As for 'troll', very nice, the Promphong approach "I accuse, prove me wrong".

BTW 'defend the actions of the Junta'? Well if you insist to call the CDC as a lapdog, I defend the right and even the need of the CDC to explain to the Thai public the draft charter and why they came to the articles as they are. Now if that isn't democratic.

So, as I wrote before you started on your anti-junta rant:

"Well, wouldn't anyone here like to hear the justification for the contents of the draft charter? Should make is easier to point out possible errors in the justification and/or the charter."

The topic is not an opportunity to go on the usual junta bashing. The topic is on explaining the draft charter to the Thai public.

You ignored, twice, from my posts:

"I assume you think that having junta generated propaganda is better than no information at all. Not everyone shares that view"

I even underlined it to bring it your attention.

I also explained why I consider you undemocratic, and underlined that explanation when presented the second time for you benefit. You ignored that as well. Clearly you think quantity of posts is more important than quality.

Regarding others being off-topic, your hypocrisy is astounding. Since it suits your purpose here you insist people must stay narrowly focused on the topic and not comment on the blatant, undemocratic injustice of using government resources to promote the junta's constitution while censoring all other sources of information. Of course when it suits your purpose you bring up "amnesty bill" and "convicted fugitive criminal" on topics that have nothing to do with your favorite rants.

Just more rubbish, my dear Heybruce. You just go on and on attacking those who dare to have an opinion different from what you think it should be all the while rephasing and changing emphasise ever so slightly. Masterful in a way. Clearly you're either a natural talent or you followed some classes.

So, the CDC explains the CDC and a few here who condemn the draft charter don't even read it nor what the CD to explain why they made certain choices. Well, the Thai electorate probably won't read the draft charter either as they didn't read the 2007 or the 1997 version. They leave it to their 'betters' to tell them what to think.

To repeat

""Well, wouldn't anyone here like to hear the justification for the contents of the draft charter? Should make is easier to point out possible errors in the justification and/or the charter.""

Actually it's like

""Campaigning for or against the draft is subject to nebulous rules that could land activists in prison for up to 10 years. Even the sale of a "Vote No" T-shirt is considered against the law.""

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/922438-thai-junta-leader-defends-crackdown-on-social-media/

So, let the CDC have the sessions, let the Thai electorate prepare itself by reading the charter and coming with questions and let's use the opportunity offered to ask those questions in a discussion amongst adults.

Surely if intelligent questions on why this or why not that with reasoning for the question will result in the junta cracking down on those asking questions we would all have reasons to condemn said junta. Now of course if questions are asked in say 'jatuporn like style' that would be seen as agitating. Posters here don't need to worry, questions in Thai and by Thai only.

Somehow all the opposition here to the CDC explaining the raft charter seems to suggest fear that the explanation will be a good, logical one which helps the population.

More distortions. The opposition is to the censorship preventing informed arguments against the draft constitution. Whether the CDC's explanations will be good and logical remains to be seen. However it is a certainty they will be one-sided, with the other side not allowed to present counter arguments.

Once again you are replying to my posts without addressing anything in my post. You wrote:

"Well, wouldn't anyone here like to hear the justification for the contents of the draft charter? Should make is easier to point out possible errors in the justification and/or the charter."

Once again you state my post is rubbish without addressing anything in it. In other words, once again you are trolling.

The junta isn't explaining the draft constitution, they are promoting it. They've already stated so, and I've pointed that out in post #53, another post you called rubbish without addressing anything in it. Trolling is a habit with you.

Funny that after calling my posts rubbish, without addressing anything in them, you also accuse me of attacking those who have an opinion different from me. I am providing reasonable counter-arguments to your pro-junta propaganda. You are the one staging fact-free attacks.

As many posters have explained (not just a few) the CDC will give a biased promotion of the draft charter By denying others the right to offer a critical evaluation they are preventing the Thai people who lack the time or legal expertise to evaluate this ridiculously long constitution to get other informed opinions.

You are obviously fine with propaganda and censorship. Others are not.

I follow the Thai and international news agencies 3-4 times per day.

Thai Visa forum members seem to offer the greatest number of comments, opinions and analysis than all of the other news agencies combined!

A pretty sad statement about where Thailand fits in the eyes of the international playmakers.
