BANGKOK, 1 June 2016 (NNT) – The Prime Minister has given an assurance that safety measures will be in place to ensure the security of the general public during the period of Ramadan. He asked citizens in the Southern border provinces to help officials monitor any suspicious activity.

The Prime Minister, Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha says regarding the issue of security and orderliness in southern border provinces during the Ramadan period, that measures instigated by the government and security agencies will ensure security protection for the general public.

The public must also take part in safeguarding orderliness by staying vigilant and helping officials keep track of any suspicious activity. The Prime Minister has reminded all that this shared responsibility of vigilance must proceed within the limits of the law, and be done without the use of weapons or violence.

The Prime Minister today stressed that the government is willing to alleviate the unrest in Southern border provinces through peaceful negotiations, within the limits of the law but can only attain success through the genuine efforts of all concerned.

This Prime Minister failed in the South when he was head of the army.

Whatever makes him think he ensure anything now? except possibly that his own assets won't be subject to scrutiny.

If you want a plumber, call in a plumber. If you want some bricks laid, call in a bricklayer. If you want a high-quality, no-holds-barred cock-up, call in Prayuth, he's your man.

I like it : ' The period of Ramadan.' Not the 'Holy Month of Ramadan ' as CNN, Sky News and the BBC call it.
