BANGKOK, 1 June 2016 (NNT) - The Ministry of Commerce is gearing up to host ‘Thailand e-Commerce Day’ next Thursday to allow entrepreneurs to learn more about online business.

Department of Business Development (DBD) Director-General Pongpan Jiarawiriyipan said the number of e-commerce businesses have been growing at a rapid rate worldwide.

In Thailand, e-commerce transactions are valued at two trillion baht per year. To promote continuous growth, marketing professionals and online service providers will participate in Thailand e-Commerce Day to give marketing advice and tips to visitors.

Entrepreneurs looking for starting capital can seek advice from financial institutions at the event, which will also visitors to file an application for an e-commerce license with the DBD. Thailand e-Commerce Day will be held from June 9 - 11 at Queen Sirikit Convention Center.

e-Commerce and Thailand in the same sentence, that's a oxymoron. Especially in the light of yesterdays news about banning SSL (a requirement for real e-Commerce )

Somebody need to tell DBD that selling something on your Facebook page and telling people to transfer money to your bank account does not count as real e-Commerce.

anybody seen the DBD website?? Please, I've seen kids make better ones in Europe............
