Chong Chom border crossing

Featured Replies

I have just received my new passport. I need to make a border crossing soon so will be going with old and new passport. Someone here is telling me I need to go to immigration first to move my latest entry stamp into my new passport.

I thought that they would do that at the border.

Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the process at the particular border?

Thanks.

Most crossings will do the stamp transfer but those with a immigration office near them often send people to the office to do it. Chong Chom may send you to the office in Kap Choeng to do it. I can recall a report of them doing it.

It might be best to stop at Kap Choeng on the way to the border to have your stamps transferred.

I went straight to the border there last April with both passports in hand and was promptly sent to the Kap Choeng office for them to do the transfer,

So take ubonjoe's advice and stop at Kap Choeng on your way to the border.

Go to Kap Cheong

I was in Chong Chom today to get a certificate of residency for a 5 year driver's license extension. I was referred to Kap Cheong. The people there were extremely friendly, I must say. Any extension or related matter can only be done in Kap Cheong. The immigration office is on the right, about 13 km before the border check.

Hello, any update about taking Thai registered Motorcycle to Cambodia? Any border crossing is fine?

The latest post I could find was from 2014.

Thanks!

It might be best to look on or do a topic on the Motorcycles in Thailand forum.
