Khon Kaen man caught in Roi-Et hotel with 8 million baht worth of Ya Ba

ROI-ET: -- The Roi-Et governor and police top brass announced the arrest of a Khon Kaen man Wednesday who had been caught in a local hotel with more than 40,000 Ya Ba worth 8 million baht.

But the supplier managed to evade capture.

Jangharn police had arrested twenty year old Natthapon Singthongsai, a native of Si Chompu district of Khon Kaen at a hotel on Tuesday. He told investigators that he had been hired by a man called Somporn (no surname known) to drive Somporn's Ford pick-up to collect drugs in Yasothorn and deliver to the hotel reported Thairath.

He was paid 10,000 baht for the delivery.

The Ya Ba in packs was then to be distributed by motorbike to various kilometer markers for pick up and distribution by others.

Police are aware of the address of the main supplier as well as details of his truck but it is believed that he had managed to evade capture. No details about his escape from justice were available.

Roi-Et governor Anusorn Kaewkangwan announced the arrest of Natthapon Wednesday along with other police top brass and local officers involved in the arrest.

I had to read that last paragraph twice. It sounds like the police & local officers have been arrested!!!

As if that would ever happen in LOS!

In the US the government claim that only about 10 percent on the drugs in the country is found in police busts. Could that also mean that what we see reporting about drug bust here means that there are about 90 percent more out there in Thailand ?
