BANGKOK: -- Officials have seized two full-sized tiger’s hides, over 1,000 amulets made of tiger’s skin and pieces of tiger’s hide from a monk as he was leaving the Tiger’s Temple in Kanchanaburi in a pick-up truck.

Barbed wire fence removed from Wat Dhammakaya

An army doctor is faulted for illegally issuing doctor’s certificate for Dhammachayo

BANGKOK: -- The deputy director of Panurangsee military hospital in Ratchaburi was faulted for issuing a doctor’s certificate to Phra Dhammachayo to prove his sickness despite the fact that the monk has never been treated at the hospital.

Thailand placed 20th out of 167 countries in Global Slavery Index

BANGKOK: -- This year’s Global Slavery Index has put Thailand in 20th place based on the country's percentage of slaves among the population. It estimates that almost a half-million people in Thailand are victims of forced labor.

Python fights King Cobra in Krabi temple but monks split them up!

KRABI: -- A four metre long king cobra and a python of similar size fought a fight to the death in a southern forest temple. But monks managed to split them up and release them back into the wilds.
