Acrobat who gave woman HIV to be freed from Australian jail

SYDNEY (AP) — A Zimbabwean circus acrobat who infected his girlfriend with HIV through frequent unprotected sex received a suspended sentence on Friday after winning an appeal against a conviction of deliberately passing on the virus that causes AIDS.

YANGON — Buddhist monks of the nationalist Ma Ba Tha movement have opened a private high school on the outskirts of Yangon this week, where they said they will provide free education for children and teach them to “protect race and religion” of Myanmar.

Vietnam’s inflation expects to increase to 5 percent this year
