I tried googling an answer but couldn't find anything satisfactory.

Observing the lotuses on our pond I notice the flowers only open from dawn till about 10.00 am, after that they close. Could anyone tell me why? Thanking in advance.

Closest I can find, yours probably in direct sunlight, too hot for them.
