Blue Muton
.......for our Nissan Navara? Yesterday we took our truck for a service at the main dealer in Suphan. The truck is about 15 months old and had a Carryboy fitted from new. We mentioned that there was a small leak between the cab and the Carryboy. When they had finished they told us that the leak was caused by a cracked brake light, which they had replaced. I was a bit baffled say to how it could have been broken, anyway we asked them how much it would be. The reply was unexpected: "maybe we tightened the screws too much so no charge". The service, including oil and filter change was about 1,500 THB. I dread to think what it would have cost back in England, and couldn't imagine a dealer taking responsibility like that and seeming happy to do it. Scouse Twoccer
As you have found out there are some reasonable people in Thailand, in fact the vast majority are. The bashers will be along shortly when they have thought of something negative to say about your experience.
Lancashirelad
Why would they be messing with the brake light in first place?
Blue Muton
Why would they be messing with the brake light in first place? They weren't. They identified it as the source of the leak. I assumed that they meant that they MIGHT have over tightened the screws when they fitted the Carryboy over a year ago. Presumably they may have connected the brake light in the Carryboy via that one. In any event you'd have to agree that was pretty good service.
