As I live in Thailand, and as I can read of this site, many are disgrumpled and unhappy living here :-) (JOKING ! )

I'd like to buy a thai elite membership, PM me your price if you have one and wants to get rid of it, the 20% transfer fee ofcourse apply, so your offer should show this distinctively, as well as the years remaining (obviously) and maybe we can make out a price,

cheers

living thai style.

Thought they only lasted 5 years ?

regards Worgeordie

There are 2 options.....one is for 5 years and costs 500K Baht.

The other is for 20 years and costs 1 million Baht, I believe.

Never knew they could be transfered (sold).

Would of thought if that was the case there would be few up for grabs. Peoples situation can change easily, health etc.

Good info to know.

So both options work out at 100,000 a year? Beats me why anyone would buy the 20 year card if there is no discount for doing so, a lot can happen in 20 years, better just to keep renewing the 5 year one

I can't find them on ebay also

The prices and duration are listed. See Below:

http://www.thai-elite.com/

5 years is Baht 500,000 including VAT

20 years is Baht 2,000,000 ex VAT

? LT more ex?

I dont understand the code so what are you getting at? The details are as attached:

Ok brochure mistake i guess. Some cost quoted inclusive of vat, some not inclusive. So 20 years add vat while 5 years is inclusive. Printing mistake?

It must be the limo service else it would be easier to buy a condo and get an elite property co-project membership for free.

I would assume so

Nothing is free.

The condos I have read about that have this deal are all overpriced.

There is also the original lifetime card though I am not sure if it's transferable. Not used mine in years. I keep it in the bottom drawer of the desk, it might be useful one day. Last time I checked it can be exchanged for one of the new 20 year cards free of charge and without the need to pay any annual fee. the main benefit of swapping seems to be you get a 12 month entry stamp, rather than 3 with the old one plus you get a couple more golf courses and a bmw rather than Toyota for your airport transfer.

I quite liked the idea of a 20 year visa and the cost wouldn't necessarily put me off but I like good value and:

  1. I don't play golf (have done/might do/not knocking the sport!)
  2. I'm mildly green and have a penchant for public transport
  3. Can't stand bowing and scraping - have no need for others to inflate an already exaggerated ego
  4. My Krungsri Exclusive banking status gives me free annual medicals (annual meds are not a great idea anyway according to my personal health consultant)
  5. I doubt that their spa package covers happy ending places

Guess I'll stick with the annual extension visits along with the rest of you smelly hoi polloi tongue.png

I guess that, this being ThaiV and also includes non-native English speakers, I should point out that I was trying to be humorous in tone.
