Posted this in IT forum but thought id post here also,

Im in chiang mai and im having a problem with mt mac not powering up. Its fully charged and when i click power its makes a very subtle clicking sound and wont start up. Should i take it to a mac repair shop or can one of the guys at pantip plaza fix it for me? What proce should i be looking at?

Ive had similar problems with it in the past when the mac would die i would connect it to the charger and it would take awhile to start up while i charged it but now its fully charged and still nothing

Another vote for Khun Krit he has fixed iMac,iPhone and iPad for me. Always happy and good price. 081-346-7051, I think he has several phones

The easiest way to fix a Mac is the following steps:

1. Place Mac in a black plastic bin liner

2. Add 2 bricks gently to the contents of the bin liner then securely tie the bin liner shut

3. Take bin liner to canal and chuck the thing in the canal

4. Then go and buy a PC

sounds like the HD has failed...

Does the screen display anything, like a folder with a question mark?

Do you have a bootable back up?

Khun Krit, iCare centre is not recommended.

Concur, took my daughters ipod to replace battery,we supplied

the battery, collected it worked for a few hours, just on the power

that was in the battery, put it on charge,it would not charge, took

it back to Khun Krit,he said he could not fix it,gave me the 1000 THB

that he had charged to fix it.

So when I returned home I decided to take it apart myself, just to see

if he had fitted the new battery,he had fitted new battery, but instead

of soldering the connections of the battery,he had just stuck them down

with cellotape !,no wonder it would not charge,so daughter took it back

to UK and had it fixed properly there.
