PHUKET: -- Police have launched a manhunt for a male suspect who was accused by a woman of murdering her ex-lover in a jealous rage after catching the former couple alone in her room together early on Tuesday.

At 5.30pm on Tuesday (June 14) Phuket police were informed by their counterparts in Trang’s Kantang district that a 30-year-old woman had filed a report with them claiming that a violent death* had taken place in a Phuket room.

The woman, named as Ms Watchaya Thepsingh, 30, reported to be a resident of Kantang, but resided at a room at the [name omitted by editor] residential complex in Kathu

A team of investigators and Kusoldharm rescue workers reported to the scene, on the second floor of Building B of the complex, and had to pry open the locked door to gain access.

Inside, there was a man lying dead in a pool of blood on his back, shirtless and wearing only blue shorts.

Investigators noted that the victim had sustained stab wounds in the regions of his left ribcage, upper abdomen and midsection, while his head featured a large, open gash that police suspected had been inflicted by something hard.

The man was named as Metha Khaodee, 36, a resident of Rawai.

The room was in disarray suggesting that there had been a struggle.

PHUKET: -- One man is dead after being discovered by his lover’s boyfriend on the second floor of the Irawadee condo in Kathu.

Wachaya Thepsing, 29, fled to Trang province and alerted police there of the murder of her former lover. Kantang Police then contacted police in Kathu, informing them of Ms Wachaya’s report, said Lt Sawanya Eiattrong of Kathu Police.

“When we arrived at the room, we found the door locked,” Lt Sawanya said. “When we unlocked the door, we saw the body of a shirtless man, whom we’ve identified as Metha Kaowadee, 36. He was only wearing shorts and had been stabbed three times. His bleeding head appeared to have been hit with a blunt object. We assumed he had died within the past 12 hours,” Lt Sawanya said.

Almost unbelievable how totally out of control and murderous, literally, some guys of this country can become. shock1.gif How wrong I was thinking, before arriving here, that, apart from the Muslim agitated far south, it's a thoroughly peace-loving Buddhist country to the core. Yes, it happens elsewhere, but it seems to happen all the time here. I'm from a country having few murders, so I'm not used to this. Even more scary is that this murderer appears not to have been drunk, drugged, or mentally ill.

"his head featured a large, open gash that police suspected had been inflicted by something hard."

nothing gets past the genius of the RTP.....

It was a gash, so it may have been inflicted by the knife?? I suspect for them to contend that, there may have been other trauma, not mentioned in the report.

Give them some credit.
