I am in the process of preparing everything needed for retirement here in LOS, but my question is, my current Visa exempt stamp expires on July 1st. I am American, and was wondering if I can go to the Immigration's Office at Lad Pharo (Big C) to get a 30 day extension or do I have to go to Chaeng Wattana again. This will be my third time for an extension of a Visa exempt stamp, and yes, I going to do things the legal and proper way, but it takes time for the processing of all my retirement paperwork from USA and having money transferred here to my account, as I am now 62 and if things take longer I will go to Laos for a SETV. Thanks for any advice.

Moved to here.

You can only apply for the 30 day extension at Chaeng Wattana immigration.

If you have an income of of 65k baht or more you do not need the money in the bank. You can do a income affidavit at the US embassy to prove your income.
