"Up to" date

I have a visa for Thailand and the stamp says my stay is "permitted up to 3 July". Does that mean I have to leave on the 2nd or the 3rd?

And a visa and the stamp are two different things.

A visa sticker does not show admitted until or permitted until but ISSUE DATE and ENTER BEFORE.
