Can't Find Pratunam Market -- Please Help!

Featured Replies

Hi all!! We're here in Bangkok and yesterday we tried to find Pratunam Market. We were taken to Pratunam Centre by a taxi. In the Centre, we were told that Pratunam Market was a silver building, air-conditioned, and to go East. We walked and walked. We could not find it. I have searched the internet and still can't find an exact location. I think it is a building, and also the surrounding area of street vendors and may extend into a hotel. Could someone tell me what to tell a taxi in order to arrive there? thanks so much!

The area around the Baiyoke Sky Tower,Amari Watergate and Indra Regent Hotel is general referred as Pratunam Market/area.

Many shopping centres ,open markets or new A/C buildings around.

Tell the taxi driver to go to Baiyoke Sky Hotel and you are right there.

The Pratunam clothes wholesale trading market is the labyrinth of streets round Baiyoke Tower.

If you want the more general market with the DVD's, OTOP shops, thats under a light brown tower block complex situated on the crossroads.

When you say 'silver' I think you might mean the new 'Platinum Market' next door to Pantip Plaza !

:o If you can't find Pratunam, how the he_l have you found Bangkok? :D
