JannieRasmussen Posted June 22, 2016 Posted June 22, 2016 Hi :-) Does anybody know a shop in Bangkok, where i can by wig, brestforms etc ? /Jannie
mcfish Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Why would anyone even think there could be a "cross dress shop" in a developing country?
thaibeachlovers Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 ^^ In a country with as many katoeys as LOS I would CERTAINLY expect to be able to find some sort of cross dresser shop in Bkk. BTW Thailand is more "developed" in many ways than the country I hail from, despite it supposedly being "first world". Not for nothing do I prefer to live in LOS.
mcfish Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Okay then everything a cross dresser could want is in department stores. Wigs and hair extensions at Robinsons Asoke bottom floor , dresses, shoes ,stocking, lingerie obviously the same place. Breastforms can be ordered on line from over seas. So my point is what is the purpose of a cross dress shop vs department store? I couldn't think of a faster way to go out of business.

While you may feel comfortable as a male going into a regular department store and asking for female garments for yourself, many ( ?most ) men would not.

The existence of a cross dress shop just for the odd farang male? I think Ive only seen 3 western trannies in bangkok in ten years . We already know lady boys could care less about trying on a dress nor could the shop assistant. Its all common sense so to answer the OP no there is no cross dress shop.

And you know that because you tried to find one and couldn't????? Since when did common sense have any relevance in LOS?
mcfish Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I think its ironic that you say men would be embarrassed to go to a department store but not embarrassed to walk around dressed as a girl lol You need a thick skin to live the tranny life
thaibeachlovers Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I think its ironic that you say men would be embarrassed to go to a department store but not embarrassed to walk around dressed as a girl lol You need a thick skin to live the tranny life Oh dear. There are many crossdressers that do so only in private. This has gone waaaaaaay off topic, so I will not be responding to you further. The OP must be wondering just what s/he started with a simple question.
mcfish Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Well its not a Thai they wouldn't ask here and its not an expat as that is not going to be the first post on Thai visa. Its a tourist living out a fantasy. You really think he is coming Bangkok to sit in his hotel room dressed as a girl ?
JannieRasmussen Posted July 9, 2016 Author Posted July 9, 2016 Hi Again :-) Thanks for all your comments. About me: I live ½ Denmark ½ Thailand. I have expierenced som special shops in Germany, UK and Denmark. I feel thai its essier to explain my needs to theese personels. And i thought that it is less expensive in thailand. nausea Posted August 19, 2016 Posted August 19, 2016 You're in the wrong place mate - 1, This site is dead; 2; Gay guys worship masculinity, not feminity.
rougesonja Posted August 29, 2016 Posted August 29, 2016 There are other shops beyond the department stalls where you can find cool items. Send me a PM and I can elaborate.
smo Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Within walking distance of the Rajamangala (spelling?) National Stadium on Ramkhamhaeng Rd going East, there are "costume" shops on both sides of the street that look like backstage at the Met between shows of Wagner's entire Ring cycle. And then if you want something more subdued and sane, but still "captivating", a quick hop on song thaew would take you a little further toward the Lam Salee intersection, where bridal shops abound and I'm sure they can "whip" something up to your particular style. In other words, within a distance of not more than one kilometer, one can cross (and uncross)-dress to one's heart content (wig, brestforms are par for the course.) Finally, a few steps from there will take you to the Mall Bangkapi just around the corner, where you can find the rest of all the "regular" items.
