Galaxy S5 update

Featured Replies

My Galaxy S5 just got a large 272 mb update in Thailand (AIS) to Lollipop (5.0) I was expecting Marshmallow but no. Anyone know what the Lollipop update did? My phone seems a bit faster and louder but it may be my imagination.

Have you tried updating the software on your phone? Since your last update you may have the OS update available. Having said that I have the same OS as you and there is no sign that I can see for the next update but I have the S4 which could be the reason

I check every day or so and yesterday I got a Lollipop update. First Kit Kat when I bought the S5 then I updated to Lollipop when I was having problems and the Samsung tech updated it. Now I'm waiting for Marshmallow because that solved a problem I was having on my Note 4. My phones were rebooting all by themselves a few times a day. Marshmallow seems to have solved that problem on the Note 4 and this recent Lollipop update seems to have solved the problem on my S5. Too soon to tell really.

The two phone thing is a work around till the Note 6/7 becomes available in a couple of months. If the advance reports are correct it should combine the best features of both the S and Note series.
