How many clicks to earn a satang?

Featured Replies

Maybe some of the Internet savy wizz kid gurus here at the forum might be able to indicate how many clicks on the forum are needed to earn a satang?

There's some funny threads on this forum and there are some not so funny threads.

Sometimes I wonder about where some of them originate from. Who's really behind some of the classics here, what is their motivation? Some of the titles of threads are very eye catching indeed. So what's the go, how does it work?

I realise it's got something to do with advertising and the more clicks a forum gets the better the advertising dollars are, but can anyone explain the equation to arrive at the clicks per dollar, or whatever they call it?

Does it work the same way, world over or does it depend on the type of audience you attract? Who makes the rules, who sets the rates?

Clickity clack, give it to me like it is. Please.

:D

Are you offering to be the master click baiter?

I'm not sure I'm in the running for that, there's much better masturclickbaters around here than me.

.....lets just say trusty, I never realised this business was so complicated.

Bit shocked when I read that, kwack, didn't realise I'd managed to make it that far. Should of been banned 17,999 posts ago. 55555((

biggrin.png You have to reach 17,999 first so you still have few more clicks, then can post something outrageous about a TV add and for sure the mods will act. biggrin.png

TV earns nowt simply through people clicking through to the site from the SERPs, it only makes when people click on an add or affiliate link, books a hotel or hire car, or through direct revenue when selling banner ads, for example. Regards Google ads, there's no set formula for how much a click is worth; it is all worked out through a complex algorithm which looks at competing keywords for a given ad and how much a given site has bid and paid Google for the ad to appear on these pages. It could be anywhere from a cent or less per click to a dollar or more, though forums in general are not big on Adsense revenue since they cover a broad range of topics. I would say TV makes more out of its little banner ads -- restaurants, law firms, insurance etc -- and hotel bookings than it does through Google ads.
