Hi,

Myself and my family will be stopping in Bkk for 2 nights in June en route back to Vietnam and was wondering if anyone could suggest a nice hotel in a central location in and around 30-40GBP.At the moment im thinking the Rehmbrant looks a good deal but would be interested in other similar hotels. Also is there any merits in booking now opposed to say a couple of months prior to our departure.

Thanks in Advance :o

No-one can recommend a hotel in Bangkok????????

:o

I think the silence may have something to do with the fact that if you do a search for 'hotels in bangkok' or 'bangkok hotels' you will find many many threads about this...

Personally I like the Shanghai Inn in China town, not sure if this is central enough for you though, rooms are about B1900 a night for a double or there are bigger rooms for families I believe, check the link for details

Sorry Mods if this link is not allowed...

We stayed at the Asia Hotel a couple of weeks ago. Very nice service, good staff, reasonable price & very central. Only down side, the room service menu was very limited.

the Rembrandt is cool if you're traveling with kids...good access for shopping close by (Emporium) and has everything you need in house...stayed there with the wife and three kids and had a ball...pizza by the poolside, the kids loved it...

however we are now approaching 'high season' and 3K+ baht is more like it for a double room with a cot...also watch out if you are a smoker, whole floors are non smoking...and, if you find that you want some extracurricular 'entertainment' be advised that the hotel is not 'guest friendly'...
