EC is nearly 100% ready to host referendum

BANGKOK, 7 July 2016 (NNT) - The Election Commission (EC) is reportedly almost 100% ready in terms of human resources and technology to organize the constitutional referendum.

Election Commissioner Somchai Srisuthiyakorn said his commissions work to organize the public referendum is almost completed. Educational pamphlets are expected to be distributed to the public ahead of schedule.

Mr. Somchai said he has so far found no evidence of any extreme criticism against the referendum on social media. However, one member of the Constitution Drafting Commission (CDC) claimed that Mr. Jatuporn Prompan, a leader of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD), has spoke out against the referendum, in an attempt to mislead the public.

The Election Commissioner urged the CDC to formally file a report to the EC and detail their claims that the UDD leader distorted information. He promised that the EC will take action accordingly.

Regarding his photo with another UDD leader, Mrs. Thida Thawornset, Mr. Somchai dismissed it as merely part of a television appearance.

Im sure they are almost ready to publish and declare the result as instructed also. But best wait to at least give the appearance of a democratic vote.

You beat me to it, my 1st thoughts also. I wouldn't be surprised if someone releases the results prior to the bogus referendum.

They could have said 99% ready or almost ready, or just ready would have been sufficient?

.......and I am a virgin..........nearly 100%!

I think the results were known quite a long time ago. It was the smoke and mirrors that took a while to get right.

Isn't their a saying "if your vote counted, they wouldn't let you vote" ?

"We're 100% ready for the referendum! UDD no good! UDD bad people. We're 100% ready!"

Pro poll gander.

I'm sure they are, considering nobody in our village has received the draft constitution to peruse. whistling.gif

Ditto for my large Bangkok moobaan also to the best of my knowledge. But people are not interested in talking publicly about the referendum...but I'm pretty sure most have already made up their minds on how they will vote.

Nearly 100% Darts and Horseshoes.

Lets just hope the same mob doing the juntas propaganda opinion polls arent doing the vote counting, otherwise we already know the resut will be somewhere around 93% support. Give or take a few tenths of a point.

I read tonight they are already saying a fake document is being distributed. Seems like a face saver for an expected defeat.
