rooster59
"Lady Kai" 'away with the fairies', claims top cop Image: Tnamcot The woman at the center of a sensational case of Rich Hi - So vs Poor employees has been described as mentally unstable by a top policeman connected to the case.It has even been suggested that she might use her mental instability as a means of defending herself from an ever increasing list of charges that she is set to face. And it has also emerged that the hi-so woman who is not a titled "lady" at all has had "six or seven" marriages and divorces in the last thirty years with countless other unofficial relationships.Monta Yokratanakan, 56, was refused bail and jailed Thursday on lese majeste charges (Article 112) and making a false accusation. She could face up to 15 years on the first charge.Meanwhile the lawyer acting for the claimants who accuse her of human trafficking and making malicious accusations that saw several of them jailed, has said that there are many hill tribe people making complaints against her.It has been alleged that she organized for women, possibly under aged, to go to Hong Kong and neighboring countries to service wealthy businessmen at casinos. In some cases when lucrative job offers were turned down she retaliated by making false accusations, it is claimed.Songkan Atchariyasap, chairman of the Network Against Acts that Destroy Kingdom, Religion and Monarchy, said that families will give evidence Monday against Lady Kai in ten separate cases. There are also many cases for her to answer connected to the human trafficking of Karen hill tribe members. these are increasing by the day.Songkan also touched on persistent rumors that a high ranking policeman at the Prachcheun station in Bangkok was in league with Lady Kai. He said that it was too early to say if the man concerned would become a suspect or not but he has been called to give evidence."There are lots of media reports of police surrounding Lady Kai, " he said, "But we need to get to the truth to be fair to all sides".Commenting on Lady Kai's behavior the lawyer said that the woman was acting like in a soap opera with her airs and graces. She had spoken about a high ranking soldier meeting her at the police station but whether there was any truth in that it was hard to say at this stage, he said. But police lieutenant general Thitirat Nongharnphitak was in no doubt about her mental state as he spoke to reporters Friday: "Even before she became a suspect you have to understand that Lady Kai was mentally unstable. She cannot control her emotions but she doesn't realize it".He said that according to her health record there is no evidence of any treatment for mental illness or medication to control symptoms."She is not normal, " he added, "and she might use that as a defense in the cases against her."He also stated that Lady Kai has been known to have been married and divorced "six or seven times" as well as having had many relationships that were not officially registered. aussieinthailand
Sounds like the ground work for a mentally unfit to stand trial is being set up.. Since when can a police officer publicly stat that a suspect is mentally unstable "off with the fairies"? Also what does her martial life and "unofficial relationships" have to do with the case??? Seems they are trying to play down other BIB's involvement in this case, not only the coerced confessions but any other links to the case, money... cockatoowho
Regardless of her mental condition, this whole affairs needs to be thoroughly investigated. A lot of innocent young girls and their families have been deeply effected by all of this. If she is mentally unstable then it is more of a possibility she had people directing and controlling her. If you are serious PM this is one case that needs to be blown right open as I am sure the international media will have a field day with it. If she is such a wicked woman for having many relationships, is the marriage to the high cop a marriage of convenience. Check the money trail, his. Another senior police officer talking out of turn but that's not actually unusual here. Unless he's qualified comments about her mental state are completely wrong but nothing wrong with planting the idea as early as possible. Similarly, comments about her marriages etc all part of portraying her as unstable which adds to suggestions that nothing she says can be believed especially allegations of involvement with senior police etc.
Tatsujin
Anyone else noticed a massive increase in the use of the term "mentally unstable" (or similar phrases) here in the last 18+ months when describing suspects? Seems like everyone and his dog is mentally unstable nowadays when it comes to breaking the law, and I don't remember this being the case prior to 18 months or so ago. Check the money trail, his.Exactly! And the guy in the picture claims she is obviously mentally unstable which makes me wonder why the police arrested her former maids for theft so easily. Where did the evidence for those arrests and convictions came from? Is this evidence that the judicial system is crooked in Thailand as unstable people can just blame a low-so person and they will be convicted? Yep looks a lot but they can't deny the diplomatic passport issued during the YL time in government (given to the "lady" at insistence of the PM's office. That shows high connections. Though I can't understand why they wont go after her if there is a PTP connection.. maybe there are other connections too and they worry they all come out if they go after just one. tuanku
Acts that Destroy Kingdom, Religion and Monarchy I would imagine conducting an illegal (at the time) military coup would be fairly prominent on the list of such acts, more so perhaps than an allegedly crazy old woman using the wrong kind of title to describe herself, but I guess they pick and choose the cases they can win in this "Network". Glad to see the people have their priorities straight, "yeaaah, she forces girls into prostitution, but duuuuuuude, she calls herself LADY" " I know, right?"
