90 day report in Chiang Rai

Recommended Posts

Office officially opens at 8:30 but get there earlier and they will take you.

I was in at 8:15 and out by 8:30.

Friendly, helpful staff, and they also recognize me.

This time around I needed a photo, and I don't remember that before.

And there is now a two page form to fill out.

You need the name, address, etc. of a Thai national that they can contact if necessary.

They asked (optional) for social media contact details, and I gave nothing. I did give them my email address.

The form also asks for places you frequent regularly!

I put nothing and the guy said, "Would you mind putting down Central and Big C?"

I said "Sure. No worries."

Also need an address from your home country.

I said I didn't have one.

He said to put down the last place I lived.

I did not fill in all the details, because I could not remember, but I gave a basic address.

All fine!

I wonder how many different government agencies have these details already.

When a visa is first applied for from your home country, you fill in a page or so of questions. You hardly set foot into Thailand, and you're asked again to supply these details at Immigration arrivals.

90 days later...guess what?

Are these new forms going to be handed out on incoming aircraft, so they can be filled in and photo attached, before landing?
