Ex-pat as sole support for 1/2 Thai children

Featured Replies

I am a UK ex-pat. I was married to a Thai woman with whom I had two daughters.

We divorced and I wound up with sole custody of the children.

I have an adequate income at about the 40000 THB threshold.

What kind of visa am I eligible for being that I am the sole support for these 1/2 Thai children?

Any advice out there?

  • You can get a single entry non immigrant visa from a Thai Embassy/Consulate as a parent.

When you enter with that visa you'll be granted a 90 day stay. During the last 30 (maybe 45) days you can apply for a 1 year extension of stay as a parent. You'll need your income certified by the British embassy.
