No mention of them suspending his licence, or should I say no renewal of expired licence.. 3,000 baht fine isn't much of a deterrent..coffee1.gif

They have to be Thai style creative with the penalties.

No more Som Tam for 1 month.....while that kind of severe penalty will surely get their attentions...lol

Whilst a success and I am happy this is just a 'small drop in the ocean'. Another trip into Bangkok on Sunday, not much traffic on the road and the first 5 taxis said no or no meter. The wife has said it has gone from worse to diabolical. Other friends have the same issues. Going from Ramkamheng or anywhere near into Sukhumvit or Silom and you are lucky, if you get one within 5 or 6 attempts. or no meter. The situation is critical and getting worse. The reputation of taxi drivers is very low from foreigners to Thais, which is a shame, as I am sure there are some good drivers, just very hard to find.
