Harmless...Glad to hear you let him go. Most Thais I know would have beaten the poor thing to death.

Once the get a bit bigger, they take an an iridescent blue hue when viewed form a particular vantage point. I used to know the name, but have forgotten.

They are very fast, too. How did you catch it?

Golden tree snake, rear fanged, mildly venomous. Main prey small birds, especially good at raiding Munia nests when chicks have hatched

I often see them in my garden, and sometimes one visits my kitchen. Beautiful creatures.
