Hi,

So I'm married with Thai and 2 kids, started business around 4 years ago which was on wife's name, and last month I finally got a work permit based on my company (and got my name in business registration as well). The company has paid tax and everything is clear since the beginning. I'm currently in Non O visa which was extended for two months based to see wife with 5 weeks left. Now I would like experts here to help me with the extension for one year, if its possible.

Can I extend the Non O to one year based on the salary from my own company as 40k since I already have work permit? What would be the process and documents needed. FYI I'm in the early 30s and citizen of Nepal.

Thanks for help :)

You could apply for an extension of stay based upon marriage using income from the company to meet the 40k baht income.

You will need your work permit and tax payment receipts for your income. You will need at least 2 or 3 months of income proof when you apply. Immigration may also want some company records and/or registration (varies by office).

Here is a general list of required documents and etc needed to apply for the extension.

Unless you are applying at Bangkok you will need 2 sets of copies attached to 2 TM7 application.forms.

Proof of 400k baht in the bank for 2 months by way of a letter from your bank and your bank book.or 40k baht income.

Copies of your passport photo page and every page that has any stamp or visa for Thailand on it. Copy of TM6 departure card.

Marriage certificate and a updated Kor Ror 2 marriage registry (Kor Ror 22 for foreign marriages)

Copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

Photos of you and your wife in and around the house. One must show you both with the house number shown in it. The number of photos needed varies by office.

Map to your residence from the nearest main road or street.

Proof of residence if not living where your wife's house book is for.

Some offices may want witnesses when you apply.

Thanks for the advice ubonjoe. Apart from tax payment receipts and company records, what do you think, which documents should be shown for the proof of income?

The police order only mentions tax payment receipts for your salary, Anything additional depends upon the office where you are applying. I suggest you check with them to confirm what they want.
