Plant identification --- ground cover, shaded

Featured Replies

I am looking for something like this as shown in the picture. Would you know that specific plant is called?

I have a row of ashoka trees (Polyalthia longifolia) and would like to have--for ornamental purposes--some ground covering plants in front of the trees. Similar to what you can see in the pictures.

It should not be higher than one metre and should be able to cope with the (semi-)shaded area.

What would you suggest? Many thanks!

i know your photo shows something different but this is similar...

you can also eat it and it has the most beautiful cluster of flowers similar to miniature orchids.

galangal, a cousin of ginger, self - starter, just get a few from the markets and push them in the ground. 4 months later.... bingo.

will not grow above 1.2m.

This looks good. It might well be a potential plant for my purpose. Thanks! smile.png
