Where to buy part for Water Pump

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a problem with a water pump where the plastic thread is damaged and the pump is leaking water, no amount of PTFE tape is fixing this.

Does anyone know where you can buy a component part, shown in red circle below.

Location - Korat City.

Thansk in Advance

If you don't find a retail source for replacement parts, ask around your area for the local fix-it handyman. Might have an old Mitsu pump with some serviceable parts laying around.

Thanks for the tip Jay, much appreciated...

Its such an easy part to replace too.. very fustrating

I posted this earlier but it seems to have gone amiss, again!!!

I buy all of my Mitsubishi water pump parts from Kang Yong Watanna in Bangkok, https://www.mitsubishi-kyw.co.th/dealer.php?lang=en. I buy through email, pay direct bank deposit and they ship EMS the next day. They will email you an EPL for the pump if you ask. I attached one for the 205 - 405 series but I don't know if it is the same part used on the WP-155Q3. I have an old WP-155M2, but the drain outlet is directly welded to the tank with a screw on cap. Both of my 255Q3's have the outlet as pictured in your post. PM me if you want their email contact.

The threads on the screw in cap might be damaged. You could try replacing the screw in cap with a 1/2" nipple and screw on cap, or try to screw in a 1/2" hose faucet.

If it doesn't post this time, I give up!!!

No problem and nice lead from Wayned ^.

As you've mentioned teflon plumbing tape, check out this short post suggesting a low cost, alternative product for threaded pipe joins.

I have a fix using an inlet port adapter and a PVC plug removed from my old WP-155M2 sitting on the table beside me. PM me with your mailing address and I will send it to you tomorrow EMS.

There will be no charge since, according to the HMIC on the visa forum, I will need to get a work permit to sell it to you since I manufactured it and in order to do that I would have to start a company which would require that I capitalize 2 million baht and hire four Thai employees. I'd never get any ROI!

It's free so you can't loose other than giving me your name and address. I promise that I won't commit identity theft!

Certainly a Mitsubishi Water Pump dealer in Isaan would stock those three simple items. I see genuine Mitsubishi Water Pump parts in stock at a Buriram Water Pump shop about five km from the Buriram Ekachon Private Hospital on the Buriram Phutthaisong Highway 2074. Korat must have a seller of Mitsubishi water pumps who takes the effort to stock genuine parts. I was picking up some swimming pool salt and asked to see the part requested by Satcommlee and Miss Jaew understood English and brought me the Mitsubishi replacement parts.
