Newbie requires help getting started with Fertigation

Recommended Posts

I want to use a 100 liter black plastic trash can from Makro as a starting point for a basic fertigation system. I have some Citrus plants that require a NPK ratio of 15:4:11 and I need you guys to help me work out how to buy what I need to get the mixture right.

My first question is can I buy Nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium as soluble liquids or do they all come in powder form?

How do I calculate how much of each to put in with 100 liters of water?

Hello DF, WESCO in BKK has all the single chem's that are

water-soluble and micro's nutrients you need.

They have blends of W/S fertilizers that you can buy 1Kg and

25Kg bags. They ship all over LOS.

There are other Co's that also sell here to, but I am more

familiar with WISCO as I get my Hydro chems from them.

Also, if you want to do a custom blend, you can find fertlizer

calculators on the web.

Hello All, DF, CM is a large AG area, you should be able to find

what you need there.

1. Have you done a soil test to see what your trees need?

2. How many trees?

3. Do you use/plan to use mini sprinklers or another type of

drip system to water/feed your trees?

I use a white bucket with water and W-S fertlizer feeding into

a venturi<sp> injector between pump and filter then off to

1+ rai of drip tape for row crops.

If you search around TV-FF for "drip irrigation", there's pic's of

what I trying to write about.

The venturi injector you can pick up a and store selling Super

Products for Bt.150. to 400., they also have a large metering

pump, like a DosaTron used in greenhouse irrigation or orchards.

Here's some of WESCO's products. A I also reccomend picking

up a copy of Home Agricultural Magazine, it has adds by most

of the large fertilizer Co's that sell W-S Fert's, much easier to see

what available in 1 magazine.

WESCO also has sulphates instead of the chelates for micros

and Moly and Solubor.
