PM Prayut denies rumors of war room to tackle anti-referendum movements

BANGKOK, 27 July 2016 (NNT) - The Prime Minister has denied rumors that the government is planning to set up a war room to tackle any anti-referendum movements.

Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha said on Tuesday that the government doesn't need to set up a war room to monitor the public referendum process because the National Security Council already exists to handle such tasks.

Gen. Prayut also said that related agencies have been investigating all the cases involving the tearing up of lists of eligible voters and added that the important thing is to determine the intentions of the people responsible for such actions.

He stated that if authorities find any evidence to prove anyone has intentionally ripped up the lists to cause chaos, they will be arrested.

The PM added that hopes that members of the public will come out in big numbers to exercise their right to vote in good conscience.

He went on to say that the result of the referendum will be up to the people’s understanding of the draft Constitution.

He also denied he would stage a coup, he also denied he would lead the country.

Take his denials for what their worth.......... very little.

92.8% popularity and 100% Paranoid!! the people are beginning to see through their bullshit, and they don't like it one bit.

Seems they can't stand the heat of someone Else's kitchen !!

It is normal practice for governments to deny rumours they deliberately start themselves.

Actually denying a non-rumour is the best way of starting it.

.......or was it.......The Third Hand????

"He went on to say that the result of the referendum will be up to the peoples understanding of the draft Constitution."

Well, only about 2% actually understand it, so that doesn't bode well for a positive result.

But today Meechai, the head charter writer, is on the warpath encouraging all to vote "yes" which is supposed to be illegal but these government people are obviously not covered by the referendum law which forbids the ordinary folk to voice a negative opinion, such as saying "no".

The government have been and still are illegally "encouraging" everyone to vote "yes" through intimidation, those silly signs that are everywhere, a song, those Friday night chats, using local officials and soldiers, and those mysterious home visits.

But "encourage" people to vote "no" and you will automatically be arrested, even monkeys and babies are not above the law these days.

Similar to the "Beating of the war drum" only for that do be denied as well even when they were filmed stating it.

When Prayut and the peaceful majority have witnessed the blood and death at the hands of Jatuporns "warriors" one can be assured if there was a war room it would need to very reactive to the slightest violent tendency if history is any indication.

Forget the war room. Ahbisit has spoken. The monkeys have acted. The 8 years old have conspired and there is ill wind. The draft is on thin ice. Better save the referendum money and start work on a new draft.

I fear the opposite, they will just push through with their agenda, whether we like it or not,..... end of the line, people shutdown in progress. Wanna bet?

this is an odd situation. everyone has an opinion on something almost no one has any idea about. simply put if you like the government then vote for it if you dont like the current government vote against it. the ironic thing is if you dont like the current government voting the referendum down will probably mean they will be in power longer. thailand just keeps getting more and more strange.
