PATTAYA: At 5.30pm, on the afternoon of July 29, Banglamung police officers and Sawangboriboon Medics responded to reports that a car had crashed through barriers on an elevated road and fallen ten-meters to the ground below.

The accident happened on Soi 5, Thawa, Pattaya, outside the Bannrodfai School.

Local residents rushed to help the driver, thirty-two-year-old Surasak Trinkajee, who was trapped inside his black Toyota Vios, which had rolled over.

By the time medics arrived they had managed to free the driver who, incredibly, has only suffered a few bruises to his face.

Not that much of a miracle.

It was not a 10 m deep "fall".

The elevated road maybe 10 m above the side/frontage road (I estimate it's less).

And it's not a sharp edge but a 45 degrees "embankment" (?) with thick grown shrubbery/small trees.

So very different from falling down a flyover e.g.

That's about the location seen from the elevated road:

And that is about the location where he "landed":

Google view is about 4 years old, some changes in the meantime.
