Applying for new multi Non O when current one still valid ?

I currently have a multiple entry non O based on marriage issued by the Thai Consulate in Savannakhet. It will expire on the 18th of August.

However I will be visiting relatives near Mukdahan on 3rd of August. Is it ok to apply for a new visa from Savannakhet at this time even though the old one is still valid ( actually in old passport as now have a brand new blank one ). This would save having to return to Bangkok then drive back to Mukdahan again later.

No problem to apply for a new one that close to the old one expiring.

Also in your case they will not even know you have a valid one now since you will be using your new passport.
