Paris thai consulate apparently now refuses to issue O visa guardian.. I speak about french having a young child coming to study here with ED visa (we all know child studying here is just an excuse for parents to get a visa.. but it was working till recently..).. Parents were denied O visa guardian.. Consulate said the law changed last week.. Anybody has got infos ??

There has been no change in the law (Immigration Act) nor in the Police Order about the extension rules.

The embassy in Paris is known for making up their own rules and requirements. They are one of the worst places to get visas.

You will need to make a trip to a nearby embassy or consulate to get a single entry non-o visa after your arrive here.

Thak you very much.. It is not for me but for friends.. Yes, you are right about the consulate in Paris..

I must say however that when I applied for OA retirement visa I didn't have any problem with them.. I had all required documentation and got it within a day
