Bonobojt
So I thought I had a pinched nerve and had some discomfort in my groin and inner thigh. tingling sensations in testicles and sometimes lower part of buttocks. I thought I'd try a massage, I went to a massage and spa place in Chiang Mai called Kiyora Spa, a more expensive place as I wanted someone who knew what they were doing, I told them I had a pinched nerve and was having nerve discomfort, the lady at the desk spoke good english, seemed to understand my problem and suggested a 90 minute thai massage focusing more on groin and legs. she told the lady that was going to massage me about my nerve problem and then I got the massage. It was a bit painful sometimes, it was a deep tissue massage. at first my legs were sore for 2 days after the massage, its been 5 days since the massage now, my legs don't feel sore anymore, but they feel weak, and have a little bit of muscle pain in upper thigh when doing certian stretches, The orignal pain from what I thought was a pinched nerve has gone, but I am still getting tingling sensations in my testicals. I can walk fine, but not sure if I can exercise like jogging because my leg mucles feel weak and not normal. is it normal for your muscles and body to take a while to recover from a massage like that ? Sheryl
No, what you describe is not normal - especially not the weakness. Soreness can occur from deep massage and last as much as a few days, but nothing about a massage should cause weakness. Suggest you see an ortho specialist. Oxx
I'd be concerned about the tingling testicles. It could be that they twisted a bit during the massage. It could be nerve damage or infection. There's also a small chance it could be a sign of cancer. I'd get then checked out by a urologist.

Sheryl
Not usually but as long as it seems better day by day I would not worry about exactly how many days it is taking, especially since you seem hyper-focused on your sensations. If it seems to be staying the same and it is really noticeable (as opposed to something you feel when you intensely concentrate on it) then see an ortho specializing in spinal problems.
