Extending 30 day on arrival tourist visa

Featured Replies

I came to Thailand this time without any visa and just got the 30 day stamp at the airport. Those 30 days are soon coming to an end though, and I was wondering if I could extend it with another 30 days by just going to the immigration office in Pattaya or Bangkok? I have done this about a year ago but at that time I had a 60 day tourist visa, so I'm not sure if I can extend my stay like this if I just got the stamp that I got in the airport in my passport? Thank you very much for the help.

You can extend your 30 day visa exempt entry (it is not tourist visa) for 30 days at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

You can do it at any immigration office if you have a local address to put on the application form.

If you extend in Pattaya you will need to provide proof of where you are staying.
