BANGKOK, 10 August 2016 (NNT) - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) will promote 25 local dishes across the country in its new food tourism campaign.

According to TAT Governor Yutthasak Suphasorn, 25 locally famous dishes, such as Nam Prik Noom and northern Thai sausages, have been selected by the tourism authority to be part of a marketing campaign to promote domestic tourism.

The campaign will include six dishes that were voted most popular Thai food in the Amazing Thai Taste project. They consist of Tom Kha Kai, Som Tum, Tom Yum Koong, Masaman and green curry.

The TAT will provide food stickers to any restaurant that serves these dishes, provided that the restaurants meet the agency's standards for ingredients, textures, flavors, presentation and cleanliness. The TAT will publish the list of restaurants qualified to receive the stickers and certificates of recognition in October.
