Distressed man ends it all at Chao Praya bridge

BANGKOK: -- A Bangkok man whose wife and child had left him ended it all by jumping into the Chao Praya river yesterday.

 

Chaiwat, 29, had found out that his wife was having an affair but had put up with her infidelity for the sake of their two year old daughter, reported Sanook.

 

But when his wife, Anchalee,25, left him and took his daughter too he drove up to the new Phra Nang Klao bridge in the Ratanathibet area, slit his own throat with a kitchen knife and threw himself off.

 

Police found bloodstained clothing and a motorbike by the side of the road - along with a large crowd that had gathered on the bridge.

 

Frogmen failed to find the body in the depths of the river but said that it is likely to surface in the next two to three days.
