PHUKET: -- A 23-year-old cleaner from Phuket International Airport was arrested for theft yesterday (Aug 15) after she kept a handbag containing B37,000 in cash and other items she found while cleaning the airport’s toilets.

Sakoo Police led by Lt Col Amnoy Chummuan arrested Ms Pathima Wongsoh when she was found to be in possession of the items at her rented home Baan Tha Maproa in Thepkasattri.

Police seized from Pathima a handbag, wallet, B37,000 in cash, an iPad, ATM cards and other personal items.

Lt Col Amnoy explained, “The arrest of Pathima came after a tour guide (who police declined to name) filed a report with us stating she had left her handbag in the restroom while at Phuket International Airport.

Yup. Looking or being a Chao Le is no advantage. White skin is a plus dealing with police or officials. Sad but true.

As both stories came from The Phuket News is it something to do with them? I find it hard to believe it's just about the colour of someone's skin .If anyone from The Phuket News is reading, please can you clarify.

Either because this woman didn't care about the publicity, or, much more likely, she wasn't aware that she could object to having her identity exposed in such a manner.

That would be sad if it were true.

This one "robbed" a Thai, as you can see there is a Thai ID card.

This is worse than "robbing" or steeling from foreigners what is a national game in LOS.
