BANGKOK: -- Crime Suppression Division (CSD) police will today seek warrants for the arrest of 17 people suspected in the recent arson and bomb attacks in seven provinces.

The CSD’s movement came after the chief legal affairs team of the National Council of Peace and Order (NCPI) Maj Gen Vijarn Jodtang filed a complaint with the CSD yesterday accusing the 17 people of illegal assembly, and of alleged involvement with the bomb attacks.

The team brought with them evidence that the military service personnel have investigated and found 17 people  were linked to southern insurgency.

The military had detained 10 of them at the Royal Thai Army Division 11, but seven others for involvement in Phuket bombings are still on the run.

CSD will wrap all the evidence obtained from the military before seeking arrest warrants from the Military Court today.

The military will escort all suspects to the CSD to pursue legal action tomorrow.
