Trump says he regrets comments that may have caused pain

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — For the first time since declaring his presidential run, Republican Donald Trump acknowledged that his caustic comments may have caused people pain, saying that he regrets some of what he's said "in the heat of debate."

Five military officers stripped of ranks and deprived of all royal decorations

BANGKOK: -- The Prime Minister's Office yesterday announced three royal commands giving endorsement to strip five military officers of their ranks and deprive them of all royal decorations for desertion and serious misconduct.

 

The royal commands were published in the Royal Gazette and made public yesterday.

 

Signed in the announcement was Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan.

 

The first royal command gave endorsement to strip Sqdn Ldr Charnchai Kanthawong from the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters, and deprive him of all royal decorations, effective since July 4 this year.

 

The second royal command stripped three Army officers of their ranks and deprived them all royal decorations. They are Lt Col Krichratna Sirukuk, Maj (female) Pavida  Muendech, and Sub Lt Sermkiat Kulpimai for desertion of army services.

 

The third royal command stripped Col Sakol Sithiprapha of his rank and deprived him of all royal decorations for serious misconduct.
