Hi, gang. School is not sure how to answer... I will be on school holiday and want to travel when it is time for the first 3-month renewal of my ED visa (first ED visa and it began 2.5 months ago, says Sep 6 on visa)

 

Can I do the extend in Issan on holiday or am I required to go to Bangkok?

You cannot renew your visa within the country.

You can apply for a 90 day extension of stay based upon attending a school at the local immigration office where you are living.

You need to apply for the extension before starting your trip.

What is shown on your visa would be the expiration date. You need to look at the admitted until date on your entry stamp immigration did when you entered the country.

• If you live in Bangkok you can only do it there.
• If your current permit to stay expires on Sep 6th you should be able to apply for another extension of stay anytime between now and then.
