The Democrats (heh) wanted Markie out because he's a loser and couldn't win an election if he offered to set his bottom on fire. The Democrats (heh) didn't want to look like losers by firing him because they want a stitch-up in their favour come election time. But Markie didn't want to go anyway and he has 'special' connections on high that nobody talks about. Bit of a lady's man on the QT is Markie by all accounts... He also wants to be Governor, and Prayuth wants someone compliant who is prepared to owe him some favours in charge of BKK. They've been trying to get rid of Sukumbhand for months to clear the decks, because he is not compliant in the same way that Markie is (or is prepared to be for the right price). Markie still has some ambition left in him or so it seems. Not done yet. The enabler in all this is Prem, the same guy who couldn't let Prawit be PM because Prayuth has a 'softer' face even though he's a serial cocker-up of everything he touches, whereas Prawit looks like what he is. Besides, Prayuth can wiggle his eyebrows independently and gets caught picking his nose... enviable talents one supposes, but Prawit only grunts in an oddly porcine way. Has nobody wondered why this coup is the only one where the official warrant declaring the new PM has not been displayed? Brother Prem has had a busy couple of years. He's been a very busy boy. Are you suggesting Prayuth has not done the right thing here......this governor has been implicated in endless scandals over the years....his time has finally arrived, and I don't think this is a case of one being more powerful.....he;s being investigated for fraud!
