PM says more DPM to be recruited at some ministries

BANGKOK, 30 August 2016 (NNT) - Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha revealed that additional deputy prime minister positions will be made available at ministries whose responsibilities have increased in an effort to improve their work efficiency.

Thanks to their past achievements, General Prayut said no ministers would be transferred or removed from post, adding they could however be indiscriminately subject to an investigation if accused of wrongdoing.

Meanwhile, General Prayut said a committee would be appointed to recruit 30 new individuals to join the National Legislative Assembly (NLA). He also assured that there would be no lobbying for positions as there are regulations in place.
