Police looking for parents of newborn left in box at Phuket temple

PHUKET: -- Police are checking CCTV for the person who abandoned a newborn baby boy in rice cooker box at a Phuket temple this morning (Aug 30).

 

Monks at a small temple near Promthep Cape discovered the babe at about 8am after collecting alms, reported Rawai Municipality rescue worker Nattapol Kaewpraju.

 

Upon arrival, Mr Nattapol and his team were led to the area where they found the baby, with light skin and black hair and estimated to be five days old.

 

The baby was wrapped in a red cloth inside a rice cooker box.
