PHUKET:-- The Phuket Provincial Electricity Authority (PPEA) has announced that electricity supply along the bypass road near the Sam Kong Underpass will be shut off from 9am-5pm on Friday as workers remove and rearrange power lines.

The areas to be affected while the work is carried out include the front of Central Festival East (home to homeWorks), parts of Soi Thida, Bypass Square and Billion Plaza as well as the Sam Kong Intersection, where the main Tesco-Lotus shopping centre is located.

What an useless article; it gives a hint of information but all details are missing.

Does this mean the streetlights are not working along the road (not a problem for anyone), or will all shops and stores (Homeworks, Tesco, Big C, etc) be closed the whole day?

Err, if one follows the link the full article is there and all will be revealed.

So how did you figure out if Big C is open or not based on that article?
