Media shakeup: Greece raises €246m with sale of four TV licences

The winners have been announced in the great Greek TV sell-off, with four companies winning bids for television channels in an unprecedented auction. The sale of four broadcast licences has immediately raised 246 million euros for the Treasury. The winning bids ranged from nearly 74 million euros to just over 43.5 million.

Migrant workers at Talad Thai face clamp down

American tourist falls from cliff in Krabi, trying to flee sexual assault

Pom Mahakan community residents resist city’s eviction order

BANGKOK:-- Hundreds of residents living for several decades at the century old Mahakan Fort or locally known as Pom Mahakan in the compound of Wat Sakhet formed resistance lines this morning to block a hundred of city workers trying to enter their community in the capital's old town zone to demolish their houses after deadline for eviction had expired.

A “state of lawlessness” was declared in the Philippines by President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday after a bomb explosion in Davao City’s market Friday night which left 14 people dead and over 60 others injured,The Manila Times Online reported on Saturday.

Phuket officials store 2700 tonnes of tuna seized from IUU fishing boats

Hanoi open walking streets around Sword Lake from 7 pm until midnight during weekends
