A mate has been to the CW immigration twice and been told he must apply in Rayong where he lives.

What was he applying for?

Convert a 30 day stamp to non-O by marriage.

Did he check with Rayong to see if they can accept the application. Bangkok immigration has authorized a some offices within the central region to accept visa applications which are then sent to them for approval.

Did he have 15 days remaining on his entry when he tried to apply?

Rayong will accept the application but want 25,000 Baht to do it.

First time he went to CW he was under 15 days and they gave him 30 day extension, second time he had 15 days left.

I am a little suspicious of the 25k baht number.

It seem he needs to go out for a single entry non-o visa. He probably should of done that as soon as he got the runaround.
