Don't those armchairs look uncomfortable.  I wonder if anyone ever sits in them.

Sorry, what were they banging on about again?

I would like to see the Americans finally shoo him away like the grotty little character he is, but unfortunately it seems that we in the west have no backbone anymore...

Prayut tells Xi railway project must go on

The Nation

HANGZHOU: -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha on Sunday stressed to Chinese president Xi Jinping that the Thai-China railway transportation project, although having been become bogged down in legal issues, must be carried on.

In their bilateral meeting during the China-hosted G-20 summit in Hangzhou, Xi reaffirmed to Prayut that China was ready to continue cooperation with Thailand on the project.

The two leaders also agreed to push bilateral strategic cooperation in a number of areas to cope with coming challenges. This was also to achieve mutual development goals to benefit the two countries as well as the rest of Asia, XI said.

Thanking China for welcoming the Kingdom in a capacity of a chairman of the Group of 77, Prayut praised Xi for his vision in bridging cooperation between the two countries.

He also thanked Chinese tourists for travelling to Thailand in big numbers, adding that Thai authorities had been ordered to provide good services to them.

He reminds me of the little unpopular kid who thinks he is popular and never gets picked by either team playing football in the park... He just jumps up and down on the side shouting "me.. me... me"!! At some stage somebody will feel sorry for him (China, this time) and give him a game, soon to wish they hadn't....

Can the Chinese out Thai the Thai?

Can the Thai out Chinese the Chinese?

Are the Thai leaders all Chinese, by ancestors, anyway?

Who is who, what is what?

At least Kim had a clean red carpet. No question over that.

Continue to work together heck their both singing off of the same hymnal page. Same version of democracy and freedom. Looking more closely at the photo looks photo shopped to me with a tube of crazy glue thrown in for good measure. He more than likely will never wash that hand again. Hard to see if they are joined at the hip or not.

Like still no final cost estimate for the project nor financial arrangements.

But Prayut is ready to commit Thailand for the next 20 years to pay for the project.

Just been watching the international news and just about everybody there had a "sideline" meeting with  Xi Jinping. Bit like a conga line of a...lickers with Prayut's turn coming just prior to the Hall Porter and the towel attendants.

I wonder how long this deep and traditional friendship will last when China decides that the Gulf of Thailand is part of the South China Sea and start building an island with an airport in the middle of it.

I hope Thailand know the big fish can eat the small fish, specially the big fish are preparing to catch first Vietnam, Philippines, ...If it is only about diplomacy it is OK but it is better Thai have to prepare to defend their territory too because it is in sandwich between India and Vietnam, territory  china want to control. When the different little fish do not cooperate, it is more easy for the big fish to eat them all.

The USA and Europe are little sissies now.  All the sacrifices that have been made, now thrown away because of not calling leaders out on their games.  That's why Putin does well in polls as a leader in the West.  They don't like his government, but they respect his push and strategies.  He should be checked, but he is a leader.
