Ladyboy alert. Robberies around Pattaya

PATTAYA: -- Just after midnight, on the morning of September 6, a forty-five-year old Japanese business man, Mr Ichikawa Tekami, reported a robbery at Pattaya police station

 

He made a statement claiming he had been walking along Beach Road, on his way for dinner, when he was approached by two ladyboys on a motorcycle.

 

They harassed him to have sex and then began touching him. He pushed them away and they then quickly rode away.

 

When he arrived at the restaurant Mr Tekami realised he had been robbed of his wallet containing 28,000 baht.

 

In a second incident forty-seven year old Ms. Jiraporn Chunuang reported that her French husband had been pick-pocketed on a baht bus.

 

They were travelling from the Chaimongkol Temple in South Pattaya and a group of four Thai men, dressed in ladies clothing, got on and sat closely to him.

 

When they arrived at Central Festival he found 8000 baht had been stolen from his pocket.

Its just not news anymore,    just a normal every day occurrence

on beach road pattaya.

 

What would be good news is

Habitual Lady boy thieves  of beach road sent to Jail for 5 years.

 

Come on cops,    prosecute the vile men,   put them in Jail,

not a little fine and on your way.   they destroy your reputation every time.

I suspect a lot of these guys actually have family at the police station and the extra income is very welcome all round, I dont see why else they get police protection

Didnt you get the headline the robbery was at the Police station, must have been family or friends 

Yeah RTP we need at least 20 years to reform. Our fine system ensures where all cashed up. We do not give a toss about crime.

I am starting to feel sorry for the 4-legged Rats on beach road, all they do is look for food and are not interested in snatching Gold Chains from foreigners. Worst of all, they have no "Family" or "Lobby" at the Police Station.

None of this actually makes up a robbery. A robbery is theft PLUS violence or threat with violence.

There are forms of pick-pocketing, though, where the touching goes beyond distracting, like the "dancing" thefts in Germany, I'd consider otherwise.

no it was on beach road, it says he REPORTED a robbery at Pattaya police station

I think that amount for was insurance purposes.

Pattaya police have no interest in eradicating a perfectly simple problem.  Alongside their bar banditry, LBs are another nice little earner: either  a % of the take or 500 baht a head when they periodically round up gangs of lady boys.

Leaving it in a shady Thai hotel safe ain't the pinnicle of safety either....
